Footprints in the Snow

Footprints in the Snow

Snow in Atlanta is rare.

So rare that if it sticks, it’s a city-wide holiday… I mean emergency.

It snowed 1.5 inches Tuesday night, and as of tomorrow, Friday, our kids will be enjoying their third unexpected day off in a row.

But it’s also charming.

You can always see snow on a ski trip out west or a jaunt up north, but the magic is seeing your own home and street enveloped in white.

And the little footprints…

The little footprints here symbolize all the kids running back and forth, knocking doors, borrowing sleds, and scampering in for hot chocolate.

Little kid prints.

The joyful freedom of an unexpected celebration.
